gallery work is always an opportunity to integrate the relationship between the artist, the material, and the viewer. i also see it as a venue which validates a particular approach or technique. i consider myself an image maker first and foremost, and will often develop a technique to accommodate that vision. |

two of my favorite passions come together in these pieces: baseball and glass. some of my earliest work is baseball-related. i see it as a form of American folk art. i used the theme as a way to further my understanding of the material, and the process of kiln formed glass. |
